The Mawlid is a joyous expression of the greatest blessing from Allah.
Mawlid (or Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif) is the observance of the birth of Islamic Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), which is commemorated in Rabi' al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.

Mawlid al-Nabi (مولد النبي), Arabic for the "Birthday of the Prophet" (ﷺ), marks the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's (ﷺ) birth. Please join the MCC for our annual Mawlid as we commemorate the birth and life of our beloved Prophet (ﷺ). These are blessed evenings filled with Qur'anic recitation, poetry, speeches, and desserts, insha'Allah.
Alhamdulillah, we are blessed to be in the honorable month of Rabi' al-Awwal. It was in this month the beloved of Allah, Rasullulah ﷺ was born.
We take this blessed opportunity to remind ourselves of the three rights that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ requires from us.
1. Marifah – Recognizing who the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is.
2. Muhabbah – Loving the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
3. Ittiba’ – Obedience to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
The second two (loving and obeying) are not fully possible without really recognizing the first – who the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was.
But do we really get to know the truth about someone when they are enjoying themselves, and everything is going their way? Or is it when we get cut off on the highway that our true self emerges? Do we respond with dignity? Or do we lose our temper? Indeed, the best way to know the reality of a person is to see who they are and what they do in times of difficulty.
