DESCRIPTION:We resume our weekly Saturday Ilm classes with MCC Youth Leaders Sr. Maryam Awwal and Hafiz Zaid Khanani for both middle and high school girls and boys (6 through 12 grades).  \n\n\n\nThe classes will cover the Creed of Imam al-Tahawi.  \n\n\n\nThese classes are for girls & boys ages 11-18 only. She has a master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute and is pursuing an associate’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. \n\n\n\nShe also has a BA in Liberal Arts & Islamic Studies from Zaytuna College and a BA in Economics from UC Davis. After graduating\, she hopes to further her education in various sacred Islamic sciences and support the development of sound Muslim communities in the West. \n\n\n\nZaid Khanani is a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee with the City of Fremont\, Youth\, and Family Services. He graduated from Zaytuna College and completed his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the Wright Institute. Hafiz Zaid continues his formal Islamic Studies with local teachers and scholars overseas. He is a former Islamic Studies teacher at Northstar Islamic School and teaches numerous online classes.
