DESCRIPTION:*Please note the new date*Join us from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday\, June 8\, for a Saturday morning hike at Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park near Sunol to get to know other sisters in the community and enjoy the great outdoors. No children\, please (female teens\, okay). Let us know you are coming: https://mcceastbay.org/rsvp \n\n\n\n\n– When: Saturday\, July 8\, 2023\n\n\n\n– Time: 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. – Please arrive a little early to park and find the group. The group can wait till 6:40 a.m. and will start the hike. Please be on time since we cannot hold the group.\n\n\n\n– Carpool: We highly recommend carpooling. No carpool from MCC is available for this hike. Carpool encouraged others on this hike.\n\n\n\n– Parking: Limited parking/street parking. If parking required\, then pay at the entrance/kiosks.\n\n\n\n– Location: Foothill Staging Area\, Foothill Rd\, Sunol\, CA 94586\n\n\n\n– Distance: 6.1 miles\n\n\n\n– All Trails:  https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/thermalito-ridgeline-oak-tree-trail–2\n\n\n\n– Difficulty: Moderate\n\n\n\n– Misc: Wear hiking shoes if possible. Bring a small breakfast/ Lunch sandwich or something to eat. Carry enough water\, a hat\, and a light jacket. Generally considered a moderately challenging route\, it takes an average of 3 h 9 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding\, hiking\, and horseback riding\, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

She has a master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute and is pursuing an associate’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. \n\n\n\nShe also has a BA in Liberal Arts & Islamic Studies from Zaytuna College and a BA in Economics from UC Davis. After graduating\, she hopes to further her education in various sacred Islamic sciences and support the development of sound Muslim communities in the West.Zaid Khanani is a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee with the City of Fremont\, Youth\, and Family Services. He graduated from Zaytuna College and completed his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the Wright Institute. Hafiz Zaid continues his formal Islamic Studies with local teachers and scholars overseas. We can resolve some on our own\, and others need help.  \n\n\n\nIn this interactive problem-solving workshop\, Sidi Masoud Qazen uses the popular problem-solving methodology called Lean Six Sigma. Participants will break into groups and engage in a Lean Six Sigma White Belt entry-level education that provides a foundational understanding of the Lean Six Sigma methodology to solve their problems.  \n\n\n\nThis workshop is a great stepping stone for individuals who want to improve and develop process improvement and quality management skills.1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. | Saturday\, July 8 | Conference Room | $20/person | Register at mcceastbay.org/six-sigma | In-person only\, no live streaming Lean Six Sigma is a team-focused managerial approach that seeks to improve performance by eliminating resource waste and defects. He has successfully led end-to-end business transformation projects\, including strategic initiatives\, operational improvements\, change management\, and cultural change. He attained Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma and Master Trainer in Change Management. \n\n\n\nSidi Masoud is a community member\, a scientist by profession\, and MCC Sunday School Quranic instructor. He spends his days coaching executives to improve problem-solving to bring new products to the market. He has studied Arabic and Quran with many teachers\, including scholars from the Bay. In his free time\, he tackles the Bay Area mountains with his bike and fellow Muslim biking group.
