DESCRIPTION:For Sisters Only: Join us for a transformative body and mind experience every Saturday and Sunday morning with a Professional Yoga and Pilates Instructor. Stretch your muscles\, shape your body\, and relax your mind. \nThe recommended age is 20+ for Pilates Classes. \nSat. (8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.)  & Sun. (8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.) | Weekly with a break in Ramadan ‘25 | Conference Room | Max 15 attendees per session | $15/session or $100/monthly | Register at mcceastbay.org/pilates \nPilates Classes\nPilates is based on six principles: breath\, concentration\, center\, control\, precision\, and flow. It is designed to transform muscles and bones while strengthening the core. Regular practice of Pilates not only reshapes the musculoskeletal system but also helps regulate emotions. This class is highly beneficial for individuals over the age of 20 years. Participants will learn how to control muscle movement and maintain poses while regulating their breathing. Regular Pilates practice increases muscle endurance against daily wear and tear and enhances flexibility. Starting age is 20 years. All props will be provided except the Yoga mat and foam roller. \nMCC has a standing policy that financial need should never hold a person back from attending any activity held in the community center. Mrs. Nasiri currently practices immigration law exclusively and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She has extensive experience representing clients with family-based Immigration matters before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services; complex deportation matters before the Federal Immigration Court and U.S. Embassies around the World. \n\n\n\n\nOmar Aziz wears many hats in life. He is an educator\, a PhD student\, a husband\, a father to two daughters\, and most recently\, AACO’s Executive Director–the organization’s first full-time position. Born and raised in Fremont\, CA\, Aziz is settling into his new life in Maryland with his family and embarking on two adventures centered around the Afghan-American diaspora. Within his PhD program in higher education at George Mason University\, Omar is concluding his dissertation research focusing on Afghan-American college students and the intersection between race\, ethnicity\, and immigration. Simultaneously\, Omar begins his post as AACO’s Executive Director to build a stronger\, more engaged\, and more cohesive Afghan-American community. \n\n\n\n\nAfghan-American Community Organization (AACO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the Afghan-American community through education and outreach and promoting civic and social engagement through the annual conference and beyond.
