DESCRIPTION:For Brothers! Join us for Fajr prayer in congregation\, followed by Dhikr until sunrise\, then Ishraq (Duha) prayer\, and afterwards head to Pleasanton Ridge for a hike. \nFor this Fajr Hike\, brothers are welcome to join us at MCC for Fajr prayer before heading to the trailhead. If preferred\, you may meet us directly at the trailhead. Light refreshments (coffee) will be available after Fajr for those who come early.\n\nSunday\, May 11 | 5:20 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. | Pleasanton Ridge | No children\, please (teenage boys\, okay) | RSVP at mcceastbay.org/brothers-hike \nIf brothers want to walk around more\, they can do it depending on their interest/time. The hike will be canceled with insufficient RSVPs\, depending on the weather. \n\nWhen: Sunday\, May 11\, 2025\nTime:  \n\n5:10 a.m. Fajr at MCC (optional)\n7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Hike\n\n\nCarpool: We highly recommend carpooling. Generally considered a moderately challenging route\, it takes an average of 1 h 2 min to complete. This area is very popular for hiking\, running\, and walking\, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are September through July. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas. \nThis beautiful trail leads visitors through the majestic oak trees of Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park and offers some lovely views of Sunol and the surrounding hills. The best time to visit is early in the morning or later in the day to escape the sun. \nThe trail features brief climbs\, flat stretches\, and lovely views from the summit. Plenty of parking is at the Foothill Staging Area trailhead on Foothill Road.
