DESCRIPTION:For our Toddlers and Preschoolers (ages 1-5): Join us on Saturday mornings for a Mommy & Me session where children will develop a love for Islam\, Allah (swt)\, and RasulAllah (saw) through book reading\, sing-alongs\, Parachute Time\, activities\, and more! \nSaturday\, October 4 | 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. | Prayer Hall | $20 per session | Register at mcceastbay.org/happyhearts \nThese Mommy & Me sessions are designed for girls and boys ages one to four who are accompanied by a female guardian. Moms\, grandmothers\, and so on are welcome. She is the first Muslim woman to play NCAA Division I basketball while wearing a hijab\, making her an inspiration to people of all ages. Bilqis has spoken and shared her personal story on national stages\, including The White House and The United Nations\, and has also been featured in multiple publications and appeared on TV shows. \nThroughout her career as a basketball player and later as a public speaker and activist\, Bilqis has consistently emphasized the importance of representation\, being a positive role model\, and paving the way for the next generation of Muslim women athletes. She has dedicated her time to empowering and inspiring young girls and women to reach their full potential and overcome any barriers that may stand in their way. \nNowadays\, Bilqis continues to be an advocate for diversity and inclusion in sports\, actively working on increasing access to sports for Muslim girls and women.
