DESCRIPTION:For parents\, families\, and caregivers of individuals with special needs\, join us on the third Saturday of each month for a wellness circle with a trained Maristan clinician. We will discuss challenges\, resources\, and strategies for providing the best care for our families and ourselves. This month’s topic is Boundaries and Balance: When to Say “No” Without Guilt.  \nThese wellness circles provide a safe space for caregivers with special needs to connect and share their experiences. She utilizes modalities such as ACT\, CBT\, and solution-focused approaches in order to serve the needs of her clients. She is a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor. \n \n

The tour features Mufti Hussain Kamani\, who explores and extracts lessons from Musa’s journey from the tyrannical Pharaoh’s palace to his prophetic calling. The seminar aims to inspire faith and provide moral guidance by highlighting themes like steadfastness in faith\, honesty\, forgiveness\, and trust in divine decree\, drawing from both the Prophet Musa’s story and the Qur’an.\n\n\n\nMCC has a standing policy that financial need should never hold a person back from attaining spiritual or educational knowledge within the four walls of the Muslim Community Center. With over two decades of experience in teaching and community leadership\, he has mentored and trained over a thousand students\, many of whom now serve as imams\, chaplains\, educators\, and leaders across the United States. \nBorn in Elizabethtown\, Kentucky\, to a Hindu convert to Islam and a Muslim father\, Mufti Kamani began his pursuit of sacred knowledge at a young age\, traveling internationally to memorize the Quran. He later undertook rigorous studies in the United Kingdom\, completing a seven-year Alimiyyah program followed by postgraduate specialization in Islamic Law and Legal Verdicts with a focus on the Hanafi Madhab. Since 2015\, he has served as the Imam at Masjid Al-Rahman in Carrollton\, where he leads prayers\, delivers sermons\, and conducts weekly educational programs. \nDedicated to preserving classical scholarship while addressing contemporary challenges\, he has made thousands of hours of lectures freely available through the Qalam Podcast\, ensuring accessible Islamic learning for students worldwide.
