SUMMARY:Stanford Blood Drive During Jumu'ah @ MCC East Bay
DESCRIPTION:As people of faith\, it is in our blood to help. With a 15-minute blood donation\, you can be part of a lifesaving journey that could save up to three lives. \n\n\n\nThe MCC community has saved nearly 375 lives! Register now: HTTP://mcceastbay.org/stanford \n\n\n\nFrom 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday\, Feb. 6\, 2026\, let’s continue that trajectory at this blood drive and keep all our Stanford Blood Center (American Red Cross is unable to accommodate our Winter blood drive this year\, but they will be at four other drives in 2026) guests busy when they set up in our Banquet Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on a Friday. \nStanford Blood will also gift a Golden State Warriors Sweatshirt to each donor at the blood drive. Now more than ever\, the American Red Cross needs the help of black blood donors. \n\n\n\nBlood donors report feeling a strong sense of satisfaction after donating blood. Why? Because helping others in need feels good. \n\nHere is the eligibility link: https://stanfordbloodcenter.org/donate-blood/am-i-eligible-to-donate-blood\nHere is a direct link to travel restrictions:  https://stanfordbloodcenter.org/travel/. SUMMARY:Quarterly Red Cross Blood Drive @ MCC Jumu’ahs
DESCRIPTION:As people of faith\, it is in our blood to help. With a 15-minute blood donation\, you can be part of a lifesaving journey that could save up to three lives. \n\n\n\nThe MCC community has saved nearly 350 lives! SUMMARY:Annual Eid Toy Drive for Zakat-Eligible Families
DESCRIPTION:Please help us spread cheer to families in need during this blessed time by donating new unwrapped gifts (in person or online) to the MCC Girl Scouts’ 6th Annual Toy Drive. \n\n\n\nThis year\, we are collecting over 650 toys for local zakat-eligible families\, including many refugee families assisted by MCC East Bay. \n\n\n\nHelp us ensure every child receives a gift in time for Eid by making donations or dropping off your gifts on March 1 – 25.  This gives us time to sort and pack individualized gifts appropriate for each family.  \n\n\n\nThere are four ways to bring a smile to a child’s face this Eid: \n\n\n\n\n– Ship to MCC via our Amazon wish list at https://mcceastbay.org/wishlist. Please use this list as a guide for the types/numbers of toys requested. We encourage you to shop elsewhere when possible and to boycott brands like Walmart and Fisher-Price.\n\n\n\n– Donate using Cheddar Up (secure link) or drop off cash/checks (made out to “Girl Scouts”) marked “Toy Drive” or gift cards to the MCC office.* These can be handed to Aminah on Fridays (9 am – 4 pm).\n\n\n\n– Drop off toys at MCC (bins are located in the lobby) (MCC doors are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily) or Northstar School.\n\n\n\n– Ship toys/gift cards from any online retailer to: MCC Girl Scouts\, 5724 W. Las Positas Blvd.\, #300\, Pleasanton\, CA 94588\n\n\n\n\nPlease avoid: \n\n\n\n\n– Electronics or electronic accessories requiring children to have access to a particular device\n\n\n\n– Previously used items\n\n\n\n– Clothing\n\n\n\n– Dollar store or similar quality toys\n\n\n\n– Toys of a violent nature (guns\, swords\, etc.)\n\n\n\n– Toys that may be construed as having an inappropriate nature\n\n\n\n– Makeup\, nail polish\, ‘tattoos’\n\n\n\n\nRemember that we hope to share gifts these children may not typically have access to. If you donate a toy that needs batteries\, please attach a set. \n\n\n\nWe are grateful to all our interfaith community partners for their support\, year after year. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n*MCC Girl Scouts will use funds collected to purchase toys or wrapping supplies for the drive.  Any extra funds received will be used for school supplies for the same group of children for the next school year. \n\n\n\nQuestions for Girl Scouts Troops 30875 and 32705? girl-scouts@mcceastbay.org

SUMMARY:Alalusi Foundation Tables @ Jumu'ahs
DESCRIPTION:A heavy earthquake recently struck Morocco. Nearly 3\,000 are dead\, and towns and villages have been flattened after this massive earthquake ripped through Morocco. \n\n\n\nQari Amar Bellaha and his family – native Morrocons – will fundraise at the three Jumu’ah services at MCC. The funds are being sent via the Alalusi Foundation to supply tents for earthquake survivors. You can also donate at any MCC foyer kiosk or online at HTTP://mcceastbay.org/morocco \n\n\n\nMCC covers all credit card processing fees\, so 100 percent of the donation goes to relief efforts. \n\n\n\nMCC is supporting Qari Amar’s efforts to raise funds for his home country’s relief efforts\, which are going through the Alalusi Foundation. \n\n\n\nSisters with the Tri-Valley Muslim Indonesian Association will also sell flower bouquets in the foyer\, with 100 percent of proceeds going to relief efforts. \n\n\n\nQuestions? events@mcceastbay.org
