After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin\, he moved to Amman\, Jordan\, in 2004 and read classical texts with distinguished scholars in Ashʿarī and Māturīdī scholastic theology\, Hanafi jurisprudence\, prophetic narration\, logic\, and other religious sciences\, receiving scholarly authorization (ijāza) after seven years of full-time study. \nUstadh Ali Ataie is a perennial student and researcher involved in interfaith activities for over two decades. He holds a Master’s in biblical studies\, focusing on New Testament and biblical languages. He also holds a PhD in cultural and historical religious studies from the Graduate Theological Union. Our landlord has generously offered to work with us to ensure a smooth transition\, including the potential use of the warehouse in the near future after construction. \nWe want to express our profound gratitude to our landlords. DESCRIPTION: \nJoin us Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m. from January 18\, 2026\, to February 15\, 2026\, for evenings of remembrance\, reflection\, and community\, as MCC East Bay temporarily hosts Ta’leef Collective’s long-running weekly Mawlid. \nSidi Mahdy Amine is our special guest speaker on Sunday\, January 25\, 2026. \nGather to connect your heart to the Prophet ﷺ\, to God\, and to God’s servants. This gathering has been lovingly sustained for over 20 years by dedicated volunteers\, munshids\, and teachers. Each week will feature reflections from esteemed guest teachers. Please bring your family and friends to fill the room as we honor 17 years of memories and look forward to the journey ahead. \nSince 2008\, this space has been a cherished sanctuary for Ta’leef\, holding countless memories of shahadas\, weddings\, and spiritual growth. This Sunday is a moment to gather in gratitude\, honoring all that this community has built here over nearly two decades. \nThe current property development plans for the building will necessitate our temporary relocation. Our landlord has generously offered to work with us to ensure a smooth transition\, including the potential use of the warehouse in the near future after construction. \nWe want to express our profound gratitude to our landlords. Their immense generosity has provided Ta’leef with a home in Fremont to serve our community for many years\, for which we pray that Allah rewards them immensely. \nIn the meantime\, MCC East Bay has graciously offered to temporarily host Ta’leef’s Mawlid for a few weeks beginning January 18th. \nMay Allah facilitate ease throughout this process\, and we look forward to gathering this Sunday to unite our hearts through the love of the Prophet (AS). \nWith gratitude\,\nThe Ta’leef Board of Directors

DESCRIPTION:For the first two Saturdays in Ramadan\, join your fasting brothers and sisters for MCC’s community iftar and stay afterward for worship. Limited space. RSVP is required for this Iftar. \nCome join us to pray and break bread in the community. Capped at 350 guests each week. \nA nominal $8/person registration is required so that we can have the right amount of food available. Please join the waitlist once the Iftar is full. The nominal ticket cost is to avoid food waste. It does not cover the full cost of this event\, so families interested in gaining the blessings of feeding the community during Ramadan are encouraged to donate. \nPlease note that Iftar tickets are non-refundable. Once full\, please get on the waitlist. If a spot opens up\, we will email you. An access code is given only to those on the waitlist once additional spots open up. \nMCC is a green masjid.
