Fasting on the Day of Arafah \nThe Day of Arafah fasting is highly encouraged and recommended for those not going on Hajj. \n\n\n\n “Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year.” (Muslim) \n\n\n\n2. Du’aa of Arafah The Prophet Muhammad\, peace be upon him\, said of the Day of Arafah dua: \n\n\n\n “The most excellent dua is the dua on the Day of Arafah\, and the best of what I and the prophets before me have said is “There is nothing that deserves to be worshipped in truth except Allah; he is Alone and has no partner\, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise\, and He is All-Powerful over all things.'” (Muwatta) \n\n لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له ، له الملك ، وله الحمد ، وهو على كل شيء قدير \n\n\n\n3. Making Tahleel\, Takbeer\, Tahmeed and Tasbeeh It is a Sunnah of our Prophet (PBUH) to recite the Tahleel\, Takbeer\, and Tahmeed as many times as possible on the day of Arafah and also on the days of Tashreeq (11th\, 12th\, and 13th of Dhul Hijjah). \n\n\n\n\n\n\nTahleel is to say “Laa ilaaha il-lal-laah”\nTakbeer is to say “Allahu Akbar”\nTahmeed is to say “Alhamdulillaah”\nTasbeeh is to say “Subhanallaah”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n 4. DESCRIPTION:Eid ul-Adha ’26 will be celebrated on Wednesday\, May 27\, 2026. Alhamdulillah! \n\n\n\n\n\nHere are MCC’s arrangements for Eid morning: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n– FIRST PRAYER \n– Location: MCC East Bay Prayer Halls\, 5724 W Las Positas Blvd.\, Pleasanton\, CA 94588\n– Takbeer begins at 6:30 a.m. \n– 6:45 a.m.: Eid prayer begins promptly\, followed by a sermon \n– Khateeb: Ustadh Ibrahim Qureshi\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n– SECOND PRAYER \n– Location: Fallon Sports Park\, 4605 Lockhart St\, Dublin\, CA 94568\n– Takbeerat begins at 9:15 a.m. \n– 9:30 a.m.: Eid prayer begins promptly\, followed by a sermon \n– Khateeb: Ustadh Dr. Ali Ataie\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n– THIRD PRAYER \n– Location: Fallon Sports Park\, 4605 Lockhart St\, Dublin\, CA 94568\n– Takbeerat begins at 10:15 a.m. \n– 10:30 a.m.: Eid prayer begins promptly\, followed by a sermon \n– Khateeb: Sidi Shahryar Abbasi\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition to Eid prayers\, MCC also hosts a Day of Arafat program and fast\, a pre-Eid community bazaar\, and a puppet show.  \nLogistics \n\n\n \n\nEach Eid service will last about 30 minutes. The Eid prayer will begin promptly.\n\n\nPlease arrive early to accommodate parking. Bring your prayer mat and water bottle to the Fallon Sports Park.
