The good life isn’t something you earn\, it is something you recognize and receive when you’re in Harmony with what truly matters.\n\nAbout Imam Mohamed Abdul Azeez \nImam M. A. Azeez is the Co-Founder and Senior Imam of the Tarbiya Institute in California. He possesses a diverse background in medicine\, social sciences\, and Islamic theology. With a demonstrated history working with religious institutions\, he excels in nonprofit organizational management\, fundraising\, recruitment\, event planning\, and coaching – executed with the utmost professionalism and a special focus on youth work. \nImam Azeez is trained in both the religious and secular sciences\, being a physician and a social scientist by education\, and a religious scholar and an Imam by traditional training. With 15 years of experience\, Imam M.A. Azeez has honed his oratory\, seamlessly blending modern approaches with traditional authenticity\, and is known for propounding a philosophically sound Islamic ethos that addresses modern challenges through an authentic Islamic lens. He authored multiple books and a variety of articles and essays on a multitude of subjects. He is also admired for his captivating recitation of the Quran\, deeply appreciated by California Muslims. Imam Azeez’s educational background includes Alma Matars: Ohio State University and the University of Chicago. Imam Azeez resides in Northern California with his family. \nAbout the Institute for Muslim Advancement and Renewal \nThe Institute for Muslim Advancement and Renewal (IMAR) is a Tarbiya Institute project designed to bridge Islamic knowledge and contemporary challenges\, empowering\, educating\, and renewing Muslim thought. Launched as part of a 2025 initiative\, IMAR publishes scholarly and creative work\, hosts symposia\, and aims to cultivate purposeful\, God-conscious\, and impactful community leadership.  \nKey details regarding IMAR include: \n\nMission: To renew thought\, restore purpose\, and reimagine life by cultivating community talent and providing accessible\, high-quality research and literature.\nFocus Areas: The institute focuses on merging Quranic principles (i’mar) with modern-day analysis to address societal challenges.\nActivities: IMAR hosts book launches\, engages in community research\, and is developing an anthology to bring community ideas into the wider public conversation.\nLeadership: Founded by or associated with Imam M.A. Azeez under the Tarbiya Institute umbrella.\nKey 2026 Project: In early 2026\, 12 experts were engaged in a project to produce a published anthology and public symposium\, focusing on developing faith-rooted principles for a thriving society.\n\nI’MAR is a Tarbiya Institute project that aspires to bridge Islamic knowledge with contemporary analysis to address relevant questions facing the modern world today through the lens of Shariah. This special gathering will feature inspiring guest speakers Hina Khan Mukhtari\, Nora Zaki\, and Rukayat Yakub\, who will share reflections\, insights\, and personal experiences centered on motherhood\, faith\, and well-being. \nThe program will include a thoughtful panel discussion exploring a range of meaningful topics\, followed by an engaging Q&A session where attendees will have the opportunity to connect more deeply with the speakers. Chaplain Nora has a MDiv\, and MA in Islamic Education (2025) from Bayan.
