DESCRIPTION:For High School Brothers (Ages 13-18): Join Sidi Shaan Mukhtar for a special Saturday evening session exploring how the Prophet (saw) delivered khutbahs\, the essential components of an effective khutbah\, and practical guidance on writing and delivering one yourself. \nSaturday\, Dec. 13 | 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. | MCC Prayer Hall | High School Boys Ages 13-18 | Free; RSVP at mcceastbay.org/khutbah-workshop | Join in-person only or watch live at mcceastbay.org/live \nPizza will be provided. \nQuestions? events@mcceastbay.org \nAbout Sidi Shaan \nSidi Shaan Mukhtar was born in the Bay Area and raised in the MCC community as a small boy. Shaan has actively contributed to establishing high school and community college MSAs as well as youth halaqas at various San Francisco Bay Area mosques. Shaan holds a BA in Political Science from UC Davis and has pursued a passion for Islamic learning. He attended the Ilm Tree Homeschooling Cooperative during middle school\, where he studied Islamic Sciences under Shaykh Rami Nsour. \nDuring college\, Shaan took a gap year to study Arabic in Jordan. He is currently pursuing his MA in Islamic Studies at the Islamic Seminary of America (TISA)\, which is led by senior American Muslim scholars such as Shaykh Yasir Qadhi\, Shaykha Tamara Gray\, and Dr. James Jones.
