SUMMARY:Youth Listening Session & Meet & Greet with New MCC Youth Leaders
DESCRIPTION:Welcome our two new youth leaders: Maryam Awwal & Hafiz Zaid Khanani. \nMCC holds our precious future in its walls. \nThese two dynamic leaders will curate practical and meaningful programming for our teens and families in the coming weeks. \nWe begin with two meet-and-greet sessions in which these youth leaders listen to what youth and parents of children want so that they can hit the ground running. \nPlease join us in person\, online\, or submit your comment/suggestion here at mcceastbay.org/questions: \n\n\nTeen Only Town Hall: 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday\, October 28 (high schoolers only; pizza provided)\nCommunity Town Hall: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday\, November 5 (high schoolers only; pizza provided)\n\nThese community servants are here to serve you. She has a master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute and is currently pursuing associateships in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. She also has a BA in Liberal Arts & Islamic Studies from Zaytuna College and a BA in Economics from UC Davis.  \nHer hopes after graduating are to further her education in various sacred Islamic sciences and to support the development of sound Muslim communities in the West.  \nZaid Khanani is a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee with the City of Fremont\, Youth and Family Services. He graduated from Zaytuna College and completed his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the Wright Institute. Hafiz Zaid continues his formal Islamic Studies with local teachers and scholars overseas.
