She was honored to receive Ijazah (authorization to teach) several branches of the Shari’ah sciences at the hands of many renowned scholars\, including many female scholars. She has received Ijazah to teach Tajwid in the Hafs and Warsh recitations from the late eminent Syrian scholar Shaykh Abu Hassan al-Kurdi. The seminar aims to fill a growing gap in values-based health education\, addressing key issues such as mental wellness\, sexual health\, relationships\, and personal safety—while preparing students to navigate public school health classes with clarity and confidence.\n\nConcerns that may come up: We understand that there may be concerns about the explicit nature of some topics included in the California-mandated health curriculum. To address this in a thoughtful and responsible way\, our proposed seminar will include a pediatrician who will verbally explain what students can expect to be taught in school\, helping to prepare them for the material in an age-appropriate and respectful manner. Alongside this\, our religious speaker will offer guidance on how students can navigate these topics at school while staying true to their Islamic values.\n\nExpected Outcomes:\n\n● Youth will gain knowledge of key health topics through a faith-based framework.\n● They will be better prepared for state health curriculum with values-aligned clarity.\n● They will feel supported by trusted adults in their physical\, mental\, and spiritual development.\n● The seminar will foster confidence\, identity\, and decision-making grounded in Islamic teachings.\n\nWhy This Seminar Matters:\nThis seminar is designed to fill a gap in the community and offer our youth a faith-based foundation in understanding critical health topics that are often presented through a secular lens in public schools. Many of today’s societal challenges—ranging from emotional distress and substance abuse to broken relationships and identity confusion—are deeply rooted in issues related to sexual\nhealth\, gender relations\, and the absence of values-based education. \nBy integrating California’s mandated health curriculum with Islamic teachings\, this seminar aims to: \n\n● Educate students on essential health topics in a way that honors their faith\, identity\, and values\n● Mentor them through the complex issues of adolescence\, equipping them with the tools to navigate peer pressure\, social media\, and conflicting societal norms\n● Support their emotional\, physical\, and spiritual development with guidance from trusted professionals and scholars\n● Prepare them for adulthood by instilling confidence\, clarity\, and a deep sense of responsibility grounded in Islamic principles\n\nUltimately\, this seminar serves as a healthier\, values-driven alternative to the often distorted version of health education they encounter in secular classrooms. It empowers our youth to make informed\, faith-aligned decisions that protect their well-being and uphold their Islamic identity as they grow into responsible\, God-conscious adults. \n \nEvent Schedule \n\n10:30 – 10:50(20 min) Sr. Hosai\n10:50– 11:20 (30 min) Breakout Girls – Sr. Sana & Boys only session – Ustadha Hosai\n11:20 – 12:00p.m (40 min) Girls rejoin\n\nBoys session- Br. Karim\nGirls session – Sr. Hosai\n\n\n12:00 – 12:15 (15 min) Stretch break and settle in\n12:15- 1:15 (1 hr) Ustadh Quran\n1:15- 1:30 (15 min) Q&A with Ustadh Quran with closing dua\n\nTitle: High school Health Class \n\nDate: August 30th ( Tentative ) \nAudience: 8 & 9th Grade Students\n\nNote: While the seminar is designed as a pre-requsite for 9th grade public school class\, we believe that all high schoolers can benefit from its content as it’ll provide a safe space for our youth to ask questions and gain clarity. \n\n\nSeminar Objective: \nTo educate and empower Muslim youth on California-mandated health topics taught in 9th grade within a safe\, respectful\, and Islamically-guided environment. This seminar is designed to fill a gap in the community and offer our youth a faith-based foundation in understanding critical health topics that are often presented through a secular lens in public schools. We will address key issues such as mental wellness\, sexual health\, relationships\, and personal safety. \nThis seminar prepares youth to navigate public school health class with clarity and confidence while empowering them to make informed\, faith-aligned decisions as they grow into responsible\, God-conscious adults. \nNOTE: Separate seminar for boys and girls.

At the age of 14\, Sidi Muhammed moved overseas to Mauritania\, where he memorized the entire Holy Quran. From Mauritania\, he traveled to Jordan\, where he studied the Islamic sciences and traditional Islamic calligraphy for four years\, receiving Ijazas in Tajweed and Hadith narration. From Jordan\, he moved to Turkey\, where he completed his calligraphy training and studied Fiqh under the guidance of renowned Syrian scholars. Muhammad continues to study privately and has taught the Islamic Sciences for six years. He now resides in Toronto\, Canada\, where he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Islamic Theology. Sidi Muhammad trained and competed in BJJ and wrestling for ten years in the USA and Jordan. \nWhy This is Important? \nIn short\, they need to experience the rational basis of Islam\, be able to clearly articulate it and understand how to bring that into conversation with the Modern World through a critical thinking approach that stimulates their minds and satisfies their souls. \nTo become part of a group of like-minded individuals with whom they bond\, share both intellectual and recreational experiences\, and form life-long friendships that will provide them happiness in this world and the world to come. \nWhy Islam is True: Clarity in a World of Confusion and Contradiction \nIn a time when doubts are viral and convictions are rare\, this course gives your teen the tools to believe with evidence and speak with confidence. \nThrough the four powerful Quranic arguments\, students will build a rational framework for belief in God\, revelation\, and the truth of Islam\, not just what to believe\, but why. \nThis is more than just a class on Iman as the Prophet (SAW) taught it\, but it’s more intellectual armor for your teen—training them to tackle life’s toughest questions\, respond to common challenges\, and engage in meaningful conversations about Islam with clarity\, respect\, and confidence. \nBurning Questions: Your Teen Already Has Burning Questions — Who’s Giving Them the Answers? \nThis course trains them with the Tools to Think Clearly\, Critically\, and Confidently About Their Iman. \nYou can’t always control what your teen hears at school\, on social media\, or from friends. But you can prepare them. \n“Burning Questions” is a transformative course designed to meet teens where they are — and take them further. \nIt empowers them to tackle the most difficult questions they’re already asking (or being asked)\, with answers that are: \n\n– Rational\n– Evidence-based\n– Spiritually fulfilling\n\nFrom “Does God really exist?” to “Why does Islam say that?”\, this course doesn’t dodge the hard stuff. \nIt trains your teen to think deeply and critically\, so their faith isn’t just inherited\, it’s understood\, owned\, and defended with confidence. \nThis is more than a class. It’s intellectual armor for the modern world. \nMeet the Teacher Who Connects With the Youth \nRaised in North America\, Muhammad Elmarouk traveled the Muslim world in search of sacred knowledge\, studying with renowned scholars\, memorizing the entire Qur’an\, and earning credentials in classical Islamic sciences and the art of Islamic calligraphy from top teachers in Mauritania (Northwest Africa)\, the Arab world\, and Turkey. \nMuhammad brings over five years of experience teaching Muslim teens across the continent. He connects with them in ways that stick—whether he’s explaining logic\, guiding them in Qur’an lessons\, helping them refine their calligraphy strokes\, or showing them how to defend themselves in a jiu-jitsu session. \nFrom leading hikes to weaving sports analogies into a seerah lesson\, he speaks their language. \nAs a trusted mentor\, he brings the depth of classical Islamic learning into the lives of modern Muslim youth\, equipping them with critical thinking skills and the confidence to face today’s challenges\, rooted firmly in the Qur’an and Sunnah. \nMore About Muhammad Elmarouk \nHafiz Muhammad Elmarouk is a professional calligrapher and student of knowledge. \nHe was born and raised in the Bay Area.
