He passed this morning in Houston. \n\n\n\nSidi Mouaz was in a medically-induced coma after discovering a tumor in the last ten days of Ramadan. His Janazah is after Zuhr (2 p.m. tomorrow\, Monday\, April 24\, 2023\, at Masjid Hamza in Houston\, Texas. \n\n\n\nFrom Asr to Maghrib (6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.) today\, join us in person or online in the MCC Conference Room to recite Surah Yaseen and Darood with several of our community teachers whose life this young man touched. \n\n\n\nSidi Mouaz’s beautiful voice filled our hearts with joy for many years. His 2017 video calling the Adhan (call to prayer) at Alhambra Palace in Spain went viral. \n\n\n\nMouaz Al-Nass\, of Syrian descent\, was born in Jeddah\, Saudi Arabia. He studied Inshad and Maqamat under experts while studying Tajweeed and Fiqh under his father\, Dr. Samir Al-Nass\, a world-renowned scholar from Syria. He holds a university degree in Management Information Systems from Syria. As an expert singer and drummer\, Mouaz has been involved in many musical performances in the USA\, UK\, Syria\, Lebanon\, Jordan\, and Saudi Arabia. \n\n\n\nWe ask Allah (SWT) to bless his soul with His forgiveness and mercy\, accept his prayers and good deeds\, and make him among the people of Paradise. May Allah (SWT) give his family and friends patience and increase them in Iman. \n\n\n\nAllahumma Ameen (O’ Allah\, hear this prayer).
