SUMMARY:Blood Drive @ Jumu'ah
DESCRIPTION:  \n\nAs people of faith\, it is in our blood to help. With a 15-minute blood donation\, you can be part of a lifesaving journey that could save up to three lives. \nThe MCC community has saved nearly 350 lives! This is our 25th blood drive during Jumu’ah\, and each one has always been fully or near-fully booked! \nLet’s continue that trajectory at this blood drive and keep all our American Red Cross guests busy when they set up in our Banquet Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on a Friday. Sign up at: https://mcceastbay.org/blood-drive \nIn 2023\, MCC will proudly host these quarterly blood drives during Jumuah services from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with our friends at the American Red Cross: \n\nFriday\, March 3\, 2023\nFriday\, June 2\, 2023\nFriday\, September 1\, 2023\nFriday\, December 1\, 2023\n\n[fusion_button link=”https://mcceastbay.org/blood-drive” text_transform=”” title=”” target=”_self” link_attributes=”” alignment=”” modal=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility\,medium-visibility\,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” color=”default” button_gradient_top_color=”” button_gradient_bottom_color=”” button_gradient_top_color_hover=”” button_gradient_bottom_color_hover=”” accent_color=”” accent_hover_color=”” type=”” bevel_color=”” border_width=”” size=”” stretch=”default” shape=”” icon=”” icon_position=”left” icon_divider=”no” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_offset=””]Book An Appointment[/fusion_button] \nA Power Red donation targets O-\, O+\, A-\, and B- only. Donation takes 20-30 minutes because donors give two units of concentrated Red Blood Cells\, and your platelets and plasma are returned. \nBlood donors report feeling a sense of great satisfaction after making their blood donation. Why? Because helping others in need feels good. \nIf you have visited India\, Pakistan\, or another high-risk malaria country and returned within the last 12 months\, you are not eligible to donate blood. See the latest travel-related restrictions to blood donation eligibility. \nEvery person who donates blood at MCC in 2023 will receive a voucher for a free meal at iniBurger—Gourmet Burgers in Pleasanton. MCC congregation members Leeza and Abdullah Popal\, who own these establishments\, generously donate these vouchers to encourage community and congregation participation. \nMCC Youth: If you are 16 to 18\, here are the donor requirements and parental authorization form link. \nOn the morning of the blood drive\, please complete the Rapid Pass online and bring the print-off to speed up the check-in process. SUMMARY:Dua for our Brothers & Sisters | Qari Amar Bellaha
DESCRIPTION:“The parable of the believers in their affection\, mercy\, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches\, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) \n\n\n\nJoin us to supplicate for our brothers and sisters in Palestine on Thursday and Friday evenings. After the Isha Prayers (8 p.m.)\, Qari Amar will recite the Dua Al-Nasri (Prayers of the Oppressed). \n\n\n\n8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. | Fridays | Prayer Hall | Join in person or watch live at https://mcceastbay.org/liveIn the enormity of this moment\, MCC is responding to our sisters and brothers in Palestine by: \n\n\n\n\n– Our Jumu’ahs are dedicated to our sisters and brothers. Our Khateebs will make dua and encourage worshipers to give generously for humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. MCC will absorb the credit card processing fees and send collected funds to Islamic Relief & UNRWA. Donate at https://mcceastbay.org/palestine\n\n\n\n– Our MCC youth are baking goods and selling in the MCC lobby during the Jumu’ahs for humanitarian relief efforts during Jumu’ah.\n\n\n\n\nMCC will cover the credit card processing fees so that 100 percent of our community’s donations go to two reputable organizations providing on-the-ground relief efforts in Gaza. Donate: mcceastbay.org/palestine \n\n\n\nThe Nasiri Dua is from the pen of the renowned Sufi Shaykh ibn Nasir ad Dari Rahimahullah of the Shadhiliyya Tariqa. Faced with the military power of France\, who were bombing villages in Morocco\, the Shaykh Rahimahullah wrote this Dua\, which was recited in every Masjid in the Maghrib in various different styles. This Dua had such an effect that the French President issued a law banning its recitation. Due to the barakah of this beautiful Dua\, Morocco gained independence from France. \n\n\n\nThe power of this Dua of Imam Muhammad ibn Nasir al-Dar’i lies in its simplicity\, its purity\, and its sincere supplication. It is essentially a plea to Allah that our transgressions be overlooked\, that divine mercy be bestowed upon us\, that social justice be restored in spite of us\, that wrongs be righted\, and that righteousness reigns once again in our lands so that the destitute may no longer be in need\, the young may be educated\, the animals’ purpose fulfilled\, rain restored\, and bounties poured forth. It is a plea to be freed from the aggression of foreigners in lands over which they have no right – a plea much needed in our modern world\, rampant as it is with invasions and territorial occupations. Ultimately\, it asks not to destroy our enemies but simply to halt their plots and the harm they cause. Its essence is mercy\, which in turn is the essence of the Messenger of Allah\, Muhammad\, peace and blessings be upon him: “And We have only sent you as a mercy to all the worlds.” \n\n\n\nPDF copy of the Nasiri Dua \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nhttps://youtu.be/rLvq6nyi_w8?si=v6s6IXqHsMZtqOKr

SUMMARY:A Healing From the Heart Out | Sr. Rooya Ayubi
DESCRIPTION:Do you ever feel like you just don’t matter or that people don’t see you for who you truly are? \n\n\n\nDo you ever feel discouraged even when good things happen to you? \n\n\n\nThis sense of unworthiness often leads to self-suffering\, which\, in turn\, can cause us to project suffering onto others\, contributing to the pain and destruction in the world. Success and self-worth are closely intertwined. We are more likely to strive for success if we perceive ourselves worthy of that success. \n\n\n\nJoin Sr. Rooya Ayubi to gain insights on how to strengthen our connection with Allah(swt) and use that to overcome our feelings of unworthiness and fear of success to find ultimate success in this life and the hereafter. \n\n\n\nSaturday\, Dec. 2 | 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. | Conference Room | Join in person or watch live at mcceastbay.org/live \n\n\n\nAs Muslims\, we view our connection to Allah (swt) as the ultimate success. However\, how do we attempt to find it when we can’t see ourselves worthy of any success? This\, in turn\, leads to avoidance of that connection due to our unworthiness dilemma. Consequently\, many Muslims may either not practice their faith or\, if they do\, still grapple with a deep sense of disconnection\, ultimately preventing them from fulfilling what Allah (swt) truly created us to do\, to gain God-consciousness. \n\n\n\nThe workshop will use interactive storytelling\, contemplative breathing meditation\, and Zhikr\, which focuses on the heart to bring real change\, internal and external inshaAllah. \n\n\n\nRooya Ayubi is a storyteller\, life coach\, wife\, and mother. An immigrant woman who walked across the desert from Afghanistan to Pakistan when she was only 6 years old\, Rooya is a survivor of trauma. Because of this\, Rooya grew up with a deep sense of unworthiness\, which led to a decade of depression. \n\n\n\nAfter embarking on a major self-healing journey\, she emerged strong and healthy. Her dream and mission now is to guide women who have felt beaten down by the challenges in their lives to reawaken hope\, reclaim their power\, and begin to live a life of honor. Her work combines a vast array of diverse skills such as Powerful Non-Defensive Communication™\, Storytelling\, Way of Joy Qigong™\, contemplative breathing methods\, and Zhikr (remembrance) that focuses on the heart in order to help her clients make the shift necessary to embrace a life worth living.  \n\n\n\nShe is also an admin for the East Bay Muslim Homeschooling group for almost 9 years and frequently hosts workshops titled “Chasing The Dunya Effect” and other workshops on self-worth.  \n\n\n\nHere is a video of one of her storytelling sessions on her journey walking across the desert and eventually ending up here in California:
