He conveys knowledge and religious teaching through experiential learning\, focusing on internalizing concepts learned. He also recited the Quran at Muhammad Ali’s funeral in 2016.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at 7 a.m. on Saturday\, Jan. 4\, for a hike at Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park in Sunol to get to know other sisters in the community and enjoy the great outdoors. The hike will be canceled if there are not enough RSVPs or depending on the weather. \n\n– When: Saturday\, Jan. 4\, 2025\n– Time: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Please arrive a little early to park and find the group. The group can wait till 7:10 a.m. and will start the hike. Please be on time since we cannot hold the group.\n– Carpool: We highly recommend carpooling. No carpool from MCC is available for this hike. It is designed to transform muscles and bones while strengthening the core. Regular practice of Pilates not only reshapes the musculoskeletal system but also helps regulate emotions. This class is highly beneficial for individuals over the age of 20 years. Participants will learn how to control muscle movement and maintain poses while regulating their breathing. He has also worked with the Yaqeen Institute on several projects\, including curriculum development. In addition to his extensive experience working with and mentoring Muslim youth\, he has completed Arabic studies at the Qasid Institute in Amman and studied Islamic sciences with traditional scholars based in Jordan and Turkey. \nSister Fouzia Alam\, a mother of three boys\, is collaborating to launch the Boys’ Halaqa. She has extensive experience and organized numerous Bay Area enrichment programs. \nAzmat Zeeshan Mukhtar is a local father and mentor from our community who enjoys sports and kids. He will organize the activities and bring on some other dads to help volunteer and make this a rewarding activity for our young Muslim boys. Brother Zeeshan Mukhtar has previously led similar sessions at his son’s school\, and in the past\, he coached flag football for boys at MCC.

In the community\, she serves as the President and Co-Founder of Maristan\, a holistic mental health nonprofit serving Muslim communities\, and the Director of The Rahmah Foundation\, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating Muslim women and girls. Before studying medicine\, she pursued classical Islamic studies in Damascus\, Syria\, and holds certifications (ijaza) in the Qur’an\, Islamic Law\, and other branches of the Islamic Sciences.
