Positively no children under 13. \nHowever\, we understand vaccination is a personal health decision\, and as such\, there will be no such enforcement when attending services at MCC. We respect your personal decision when choosing whether to pray indoors or outdoors. \nWe encourage congregants to make a choice that is safest for yourself\, your family\, and our community when choosing to pray indoors or outdoors when at MCC. \nPlease remember that outdoor areas pose a much lower risk of infection when compared to indoor areas. \nWe will continue to offer outdoor prayer areas for the months to come\, and again\, strongly recommend that outdoor areas be used in lieu of indoors whenever possible. \nSafety requirements for all prayer areas (indoors and outdoors): \n\nCapacity is limited and social distancing must be adhered to.\nNightly registration is required and admission is on first-come-first-serve-basis until capacity is reached.\nWear a mask at all times and bring a prayer rug.\nMake wudu at home as MCC’s bathroom\, wudu areas and water fountains will remain closed.\nAbsolutely no children under 13 allowed.\nRegistration is required for each member of your family.\nNo socializing or gathering in and around the masjid before or after prayers.\nAnyone with flu-like symptoms will be requested to leave.\n\nWe ask Allah for protection during these last ten days of Ramadan. \nQuestions? events@mcceastbay.org \nAdditionally\, on the odd nights in the last ten days of Ramadan\, join us for a night of Qur’an recitation\, zikr (devotional acts)\, advice and nasheed (vocal acts). SUMMARY:Day of Prayer
DESCRIPTION:Ustadh Feraidoon Mojadedi represents the East Bay Muslim Community at the 2021 National Day to Pray. Watch the talk by Sidi Feraidoon at: https://youtu.be/XHmvrSlvb3U \n– More Sidi Feraidoon: https://mcceastbay.org/feraidoon \nThe National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May\, designated by the United States Congress\, when people are asked “to turn to God in prayer and meditation”. The president is required by law to sign a proclamation each year\, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day. \nQuestions? events@mcceastbay.org \n\n\n\n\n\nGuest Speaker: Sherry Hu\, Dublin City Council\nOpening Prayer: Pastor Steve Madsen\, Cornerstone Fellowship Devotional: Pastor Terry Inman\, Harbor Light\nDevotional: Head Priest Bhai Jaswinder Singh\, Livermore Gurdwara Devotional: Bishop J.W. In 1952\, Congress established an annual day of prayer and\, in 1988\, that law was amended\, designating the National day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May. \nDavid Haubert represents the First District Cities of Dublin\, Fremont\, Livermore\, and the Unincorporated Communities of Sunol and East Livermore. \n\nFeraidoon Mojadedi is one of the most well-known and respected community activists\, lecturers\, and entrepreneurs in the Bay Area\, California. He was born in Herat\, Afghanistan and immigrated with his family to America during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan in 1982. He completed his degree from San Francisco State University where he majored in history. During his last year of college\, he took on a major project and became producer of Muslim World TV\, a weekly TV show that was broadcast in the greater San Francisco Bay Area for five years. \n  \nAround the same time\, Ustadh Feraidoon spearheaded the weekend classes with Shaykh Hamza Yusuf at the iconic Islamic Study School in Hayward California\, which would eventually become the springboard that launched Zaytuna Institute\, now known as Zaytuna College. \n\n

It is considered by many to be among the most important Qur’anic Surahs due to its doctrine\, spirituality\, guidance\, and storytelling. \nAbu Sa’id Al-Khudri reported: The Prophet\, peace and blessings be upon him\, said “Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday will have a light between this Friday and the next.” -As-Sunan al-Kubra
