They will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of these practices in their daily lives. \n\n\n\n2. Changes and Challenges during Puberty: Facilitators will provide age-appropriate discussions on the physical\, emotional\, and social changes that occur during puberty. Participants will be guided on how to navigate these changes with confidence and faith. \n\n\n\n3. Public Speaking: Workshops will be conducted to enhance communication skills\, boost confidence\, and enable participants to express their thoughts effectively in public settings. Learning how to conduct a khutbah will be one of the learning outcomes. \n\n\n\n4. There she was granted ijāzah (authorization) in Sahīh al-Bukhārī\, Sahīh al-Muslim\, Sunan at-Tirmidhī\, Sunan Abī Dāwūd\, Sunan an-Nasā’ī\, and Sunan Ibn Mājah. Thereafter\, she continued her Arabic and Qur’anic studies in Damascus\, Syria\, where she obtained an ijāzah in Tajwīd of the Ḥafṣ recitation from the late eminent Syrian scholar Shaykh Ḥasan al-Kurdī. Ustadha Shamira is a co-founder of The Rahmah Foundation\, a non-profit organization dedicated to disseminating traditional Islamic knowledge by qualified female teachers to Muslim women around the globe. She is a passionate advocate for natural birth\, infusing her natural birth classes with Islamic spirituality since 2009\, and has been a qualified lactation counselor since 2011.  Her latest endeavor is her sisters-only YouTube channel catering to women’s educational and spiritual needs through short talks and reminders. Ustadha Shamira resides in sunny Southern California with her husband and four children.

He then traveled to Thailand and Malaysia\, and in 2013 he was resettled in Chicago. He saw the need for a place for the Rohingya population to gather and receive services\, as there was no Rohingya population in Chicago before refugees began arriving in 2010. Through hard work and determination\, Nasir founded the Rohingya Culture Center\, where he remains Executive Director. Nasir serves as a community leader for the Rohingya population and is known nationally and internationally through the Rohingya community for opening the first one-of-a-kind Rohingya Culture Center. \n\n\n\nSarah Pajeau: Sarah Pajeau is the Assistant Director at the Rohingya Culture Center\, where she handles grant writing/reporting\, finances\, program development\, and more. She has been involved with the Rohingya community since 2019. Sarah is passionate about refugee rights and community health\, with a demonstrated history of working in the nonprofit industry. She holds an MS in Refugee & Forced Migration Studies from DePaul University. \n\n\n\nAbdul Jabbar Amanullah: Abdul Jabbar Amanullah was born in Burma and fled to Bangladesh when he was only 12. He then traveled to Thailand and Malaysia. In Malaysia\, he worked with United Nations as an Interpreter. He was resettled in Chicago when he was 25 years old. Abdul Jabbar began volunteering as an interpreter in eight languages to support his community and others and soon began work as a social worker. He works as Senior Case Manager at the Rohingya Culture Center\, assisting with over 500 cases every month.
