Some scholars may have viewed it as obligatory. However\, most see it as a voluntary (sunnah/mustahab) act. For those who wish to do Qurbani\, it is mustahab (or voluntary sunnah) to avoid cutting hair and nails until the Qurbani is slaughtered. However\, if you cut any hair or nails\, your Qurbani is accepted and does not affect the validity. \n\n\n\nDeeds of the Day of Arafah \n\n\n\nThe Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Fasting the day of Arafah expiates the sins of two years: the past one and the coming one.” (Muslim). So\, don’t miss the reward of fasting it\, and join the community iftars at Masjid Annoor and the Qur’an Center on that day. \n\n\n\nAlso\, increase your dhikr\, recitation of the Qur’an\, good deeds\, and duas before the morning of Eid. DESCRIPTION:For MCC’s four Jumu’ah services on Friday\, June 21\, 2024: \n\n\n\n\n1:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.\n\nDr. Abdullah bin Hamid Ali delivers this sermon at MCC.\n\n\n\n\n\n1:40 p.m. to 2:10 p.m.\n\n– TBA delivers this sermon at Rosewood Conference Center.\n\n\n\n\n\n2:30 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.\n\n– Dr. Youssef Ismail delivers this sermon at MCC.\n\n\n\n\n\n3:40 p.m. – 4 p.m. \n\n– Sidi Shaan Mukhtar delivers this sermon at MCC.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease attend at 2:30 or 3:40 p.m. @ MCC to avoid heavier first-service congestion whenever possible. Please note that the former HP lot (now Pleasanton School District) is no longer available to our congregation. SUMMARY:Monthly Men's Hike | Garin Regional Park
DESCRIPTION:For Brothers! Join a brotherhood that hikes through life’s ups and downs\, finding strength and community in the great outdoors. Our Monthly MCC Brothers Hike caters to various fitness levels and explores East Bay’s serene landscapes. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking to start\, we welcome you to share in this journey of fellowship and discovery.Starts Saturday\, June 22 | 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. | Garin Regional Park | No children\, please (teenage boys\, okay) | RSVP at mcceastbay.org/brothers-hike \n\n\n\nIf brothers want to walk around more\, they can do it depending on their interest/time. The hike will be canceled with insufficient RSVPs\, depending on the weather. \n\n\n\n\n– When: Saturday\, June 22\, 2024\n\n\n\n– Time: 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Please arrive early to park and find the group. The group can wait till 7:40 a.m. and will start the hike. Please be on time since we cannot hold the group.\n\n\n\n– Carpool: We highly recommend carpooling. No carpool from MCC is available for this hike. Carpool encouraged others on this hike.\n\n\n\n– Parking: $5\n\n\n\n– Meeting Point:  Garin Regional Park\n\n\n\n– Trail: Vista Peak and Garin Woods Loop\n\n\n\n– Distance: Around 6 miles.\n\n\n\n– Difficulty: Moderate.\n\n\n\n– Misc: Pack a snack and water for yourself. Wear hiking shoes if possible. Bring a small breakfast/ Lunch sandwich or something to eat. Carry enough water\, a hat\, and a light jacket. Please download the All Trails map (free version) if you decide to return in the middle of the hike. Generally considered a moderately challenging route\, it takes an average of 3 h 1 min to complete. This trail is great for birding\, hiking\, and running\, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

These classes are delivered by a seasoned mixed martial arts professional and aim to equip you with the skills to fend off unwanted physical contact effectively. Max 32 attendees. If you are more than 30 minutes late\, you will not be able to join the class. Born and raised in the East Bay\, she trains with M.J. Hamid\, an MCC congregation member and trainer. After her fight with Larissa Pacheco\, she went through a tough time and Br. Hamid introduced her to Islam. She took her Shahadah at MCC on July 21\, 2023. Since then\, she’s been attending Jumu’ah (Friday prayer services) regularly. Ahead of a fight\, ESPN did this profile on Sister Amber.“I just see it (Islam) spilling over to my everyday life.
