Finally\, we intend to have the boys memorize four prominent sections of the Quran—one section each week.\n\n\n\nPublic Speaking: Workshops will be conducted to enhance communication skills\, boost confidence\, and enable participants to convey Islam’s message effectively in public settings. One of the learning outcomes will be learning how to conduct a khutbah.\n\n\n\nSports Activities: Ustadh Haseeb will teach the boys wrestling and boxing techniques. He will also facilitate calisthenic workouts\, nutrition tips\, and basketball and handball games to promote physical fitness\, teamwork\, and sportsmanship.\n\n\n\nContemporary Teenage Issues: Students will feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their challenges. Facilitators will offer advice and\, at the same time\, challenge students to rise above in an encouraging and relatable way. Sensitive topics such as pornography\, opposite-gender interactions\, and music will be addressed. \n\n\n\n\nMaterials: \n\n\n\n\nAll Academic Reading Material and Handouts will be provided \n\n\n\nNotebook\, pencils\, highlighters\n\n\n\nBoxing gloves are highly recommended \n\n\n\n\nAbout Ustadh Haseeb: \n\n\n\nSidi Haseeb Sadat\, a highly experienced professional committed to Muslim youth development\, will co-host the camp. Haseeb has a rich educational background\, having previously served as a vice principal of Granada Islamic School and a teacher at Northstar School. Furthermore\, Haseeb brings his athletic expertise as a former Division I Wrestler at UC Davis. With his extensive experience working with Muslim youth\, Haseeb is well-equipped to create a nurturing and educational environment for camp participants. \n\n\n\nAbout Ustadh Fardin: \n\n\n\nUstadh Fardin is a Quran instructor for Furqan Academy. Stretch your muscles\, shape your body\, and relax your mind. \nThe recommended age is 20+ for Pilates Classes. \nSat. (8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.)  & Sun. It is designed to transform muscles and bones while strengthening the core. Regular practice of Pilates not only reshapes the musculoskeletal system but also helps regulate emotions. This class is highly beneficial for individuals over the age of 20 years. Participants will learn how to control muscle movement and maintain poses while regulating their breathing. Regular Pilates practice increases muscle endurance against daily wear and tear and enhances flexibility. SUMMARY:Monthly Sisterhood Hike | Sisters in the Outdoors
DESCRIPTION:Join us from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday\, Aug. 4\, for a Sunday morning hike at Sycamore Grove Park in Livermore to get to know other sisters in the community and enjoy the great outdoors. No children\, please (female teens\, okay). Let us know you are coming: https://mcceastbay.org/rsvp \nIf sisters want to walk around more\, they can do it depending on their interest/time. The hike will be cancelled if there are not enough RSVPs depending on the weather. \n\n– When: Sunday\, Aug. 4\, 2024\n– Time: 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Please arrive a little early to park and find the group. The group can wait till 6:40 a.m. and will start the hike. Please be on time since we cannot hold the group.\n– Carpool: We highly recommend carpooling. No carpool from MCC is available for this hike.
