DESCRIPTION:We want to see more families riding their bikes to their schools\, jobs\, and neighborhoods! That’s why we’ve invited BikeMobile to provide free tune-ups & repairs for parents and children. \n\n\n\n1 p.m. to 3 p.m. | Wednesday\, May 28th | MCC Parking Lot | First come\, first served | No RSVP needed \n\n\n\nThis event is co-sponsored by MCC\, BikeMobile Team\, and the Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools Program. The Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools Program is a program of the Alameda County Transportation Commission and is funded with Alameda County’s local sales tax Measure B and regional\, state\, and federal funds. \n\n\n\nThe BikeMobile can fix flat tires\, adjust brakes and gears\, and even replace broken or worn-out parts like chains\, seats\, and tires. The only thing it can’t do is replace missing wheels or gears. While the mechanics work on your bike\, they’ll explain how to keep it running smoothly.Bike or no bike\, everyone is welcome to attend to learn about maintenance\, safety\, and more! SUMMARY:Purification of the Heart – Men’s Book Club
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a weekly book club and discussion group as we collectively strive to purify our hearts and grow closer to Allah through understanding and treating the spiritual diseases that afflict us all. We will read and reflect on Hamza Yusuf’s translation and commentary of Imam Mawlud’s classical work\, Purification of the Heart: Signs\, Symptoms\, and Cures of the Spiritual Diseases of the Heart. \nEach session will cover one chapter\, including group discussions and reflections on heart diseases and their treatments. \nWhile we encourage consistent attendance for shared reflection and continuity\, each session is self-contained\, and participants are welcome to drop in even if they cannot commit to attending every week.
