DESCRIPTION:In American politics\, refugee policy has become a wedge issue. He recently published his first book\, titled “Refugee Resettlement in the U.S” (Cognella Academic Publishing). He grew up in Chicago as the child of Indian immigrants and reverted to Islam in 2006. \n\n\n\nHe is an assistant professor of political science at Canisius University in Buffalo\, NY. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He visits the San Francisco Bay Area frequently. His wife Lizette Duran is MCC’s Convert Care Coordinator.
