DESCRIPTION:CALICO Center is the Child Abuse\, Listening\, Interviewing\, and Coordination Center. Their mission is to achieve justice and healing for abused children. CALICO brings together a team of child welfare workers\, prosecutors\, law enforcement officers\, and other professionals to investigate child abuse cases. \nVisit their table to learn more about their cause and how you can support them. \n———– \nOctober is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Let’s remember that Islam enjoins kindness and mercy and forbids oppression. \nDomestic violence happens everywhere all the time and affects everyone. Women are the principal victims. Help us bring awareness. \nDuring the MCC Jumu’ah services this month\, MCC will invite various local Bay Area DV organizations to table. Our Khutbahs will also focus on raising awareness of domestic violence.
