Dr. Suzanne Barakat will speak about implicit bias and how that can contribute to hate and hate crimes.

Dr. Barakat is a Family Medicine Resident at San Francisco General Hospital. Believes in love and kindness, and works for social justice—for her patients at SFGH, for her family in Syria, for her fellow American Muslims, and for her brother Deah, who is no longer with us today.

Mohammed Moussa, a close friend of Deah, will also recite spoken word poetry about the tragic event that claimed his friend’s life.
