DESCRIPTION:Friends of Wadi Foquin\, a local Bay Area non-profit that supports the village of Wadi Foquin in Palestine\, will be hosting the founder of Khayari for a speaking and fundraising tour in the Bay Area. This Friday\, they will be raising funds for Khayari Women’s Leadership and Economic Empowerment Organization – which is based in Bethlehem\, Palestine. Please visit their table and learn more about how you can support them. \nOn Friday\, September 19\, local Bay Area groups supporting Khayari Foundation\, which is an organization located in Bethlehem that seeks to empower Palestinian women. We are very blessed to be hosting the founder of Khayari on Sunday inshallah from 6-7 pm \nCcommunity members will be tabling today on behalf of Khayari Foundation. Learn more here. \nWadi Foquin is the site of a community development project supported through the United Methodist Church’s General Board of Global Ministries (Advance project #3021565). A resolution supporting Wadi Foquin was passed at the church’s May 2016 General Conference acknowledging the challenges of settlement expansion and recent land confiscation orders. The resolution calls for accountability from the Israeli government for the destruction of land and life in Wadi Foquin. It also calls on U.S. officials to contact the Israeli government to immediately halt the illegal Israeli settlements and confiscation of Palestinian land. \nWays to Support Wadi Foquin\n\n\nPrayer  – commit to praying for Wadi Foquin\, its concerns and needs.
