Why We Are Doing This
Although the Sunni and Shia branches of Islam share fundamental beliefs, they differ in religious practices, rituals, and organization. The intensity of the divide differs from countries and communities.
 

The MCC East Bay and the Islamic Center of Zahra have worked for years shoulder to shoulder on interfaith and community building activities and we feel an intra-faith initiative between congregations of our respective masjids is overdue.
