Ustadh Umair presently serves as the Director of Religious Affairs at Ta'leef Collective. He earned his Alimiyyah degree in 2018 from the Qarawiyyin university in Morocco. He also pursued several years of post-Alimiyyah studies with Shaykh Muhammad al-Imam of the Chicago Islamic Center, specializing in family law and clerical services. He is currently enrolled at al-Azhar University, obtaining his Masters degree in Usul al-Fiqh.
