Every baby deserves a clean diaper.
As a proud social service partner with Help A Mother Out, the MCC’s Food Pantry for the past year has included diapers in our bi-weekly food care package delivered to the doorstep of more than 300 low-income families every month.
Thanks to this fantastic partnership, MCC distributes several hundred boxes of diapers each month.
Since public assistance programs like food stamps do not cover diapers and wipes that can cost $80 to $100 per month in out-of-pocket expenses, this outreach improves baby and family well-being by increasing access to diapers for families in need.
Before we began this essential diaper outreach, we heard from mothers that when the family could not afford diapers, the baby would spend extended periods in the same soiled diaper.
Thank you to the fantastic folks at Help A Mother Out for ensuring an adequate monthly supply of fresh diapers for the children we are privileged to serve.
Thank you for the latest large donation of hygiene kit items that will be given to refugee families after the MCC-SRVIC team completes their apartment setup.
We are honored to serve alongside you!
