2018 Board of Directors Election Results

The MCC Election Commission has received a total of five valid nominations. Since this year’s election process was to fill five positions on the Board of Directors, the following candidates are declared elected unopposed to the following respective positions and they will assume their duties beginning January 1, 2019:

Treasurer: Sajjad Basha
Vice President: Shahid Constantino
Directors at Large: Hina Mukhtar, Humera Nawaz & Yusuf Abdullah

We want to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing board members – Amir Mustafa and Farhan Jafri – for their years of dedication and service to the community.

We also want to thank our community for their participation in the recent nomination process. This is a great sign of conscientiousness and responsibility regarding the affairs of our community center. It is only with full participation and representation that the Muslim Community Center – East Bay can continue to grow and flourish.

May Allah (swt) bless our masjid, keep our community united, and give the new Board the ability to serve the community to the best of their abilities. Ameen.
