A bicycle can be a primary form of transportation for people who are new in the country or who just can’t afford the cost of gas, and it can be a source of joy and release for anyone who is struggling.

MCC/SRVIC Unity Wheels needs bikes you may no longer be using and volunteers to help repair them, as well as support for purchasing helmets and bike locks.

So far, through the grace of God and the generosity of donors, MCC/SRVIC Unity Wheels has provided more than 1,000 bicycles, along with helmets and bike locks, to people in need.

Unity Wheels currently has partnerships with multiple Bay Area nonprofits, allowing us to serve refugees, youth in and transitioning out of the foster care system, veterans, the formerly incarcerated, survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, and others in need of support. These bikes are a primary source of transportation for getting to work, classes, appointments, and shopping, and they can also be a form of entertainment for the whole family.

Our new name, Unity Wheels, reflects the oneness of God, the partnership between MCC and SRVIC, and our emphasis on community. Please continue to support our efforts through your duas.
