A bicycle can be the primary form of transportation for people who are new to the country and don’t yet have a driver’s license or a car.
The SRVIC-MCC Refugee Car team needs bikes you may no longer be using and volunteers to fix them and purchase helmets and locks.
Unity Wheels currently has partnerships with multiple Bay Area nonprofits, allowing us to serve refugees, youth in and transitioning out of the foster care system, veterans, the formerly incarcerated, survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, and others in need of support. These bikes are a primary source of transportation for getting to work, classes, appointments, and shopping, and they can also be a form of entertainment for the whole family.
Our new name, Unity Wheels, reflects the oneness of God, the partnership between MCC and SRVIC, and our emphasis on community. Please continue to support our efforts through your duas.
You can use this form if you are able to support our work through a donation of bikes, a financial contribution, and/or your time repairing or delivering bikes.
