Thank you for a beautiful Ramadan together in the community! According to the regional moonsighting, MCC will celebrate Eid al-Fitr ’26 with four prayer services on Friday, March 20, 2026 (likely), or Saturday, March 21, 2026 (unlikely).
Please remember to pay your household’s Zakat ul-Fitr ($12/person) before the Eid prayers. Bazar vendors: please complete this interest form.
On Friday, join us for a full day from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. of celebration for the whole family, featuring a free carnival for kids, food trucks, and a bazaar at the Alameda County Fairgrounds!
We are forecast for abnormally hot temperatures this Friday. The prayer will be indoors in air-conditioned halls, with women in buildings Autumn (women only and individuals with special needs/disabilities) & Summer (women & kids), and men in buildings Winter & Spring (map link). Please bring a prayer mat and a refillable water bottle (we will have water-filling stations). We have also arranged a shuttle for those who require it; the walk from your vehicle to the Prayer Halls will take about five minutes.
To speed up Fairground parking, please pre-purchase a parking pass to show your QR code at the gate: http://mcceastbay.org/parking

MCC follows the traditional moon-sighting method, which relies on a regional, verifiable naked-eye sighting of the new crescent moon to mark the start of all Hijri months. Please see this video to understand this practice.
Because we will be celebrating Eid at the Fairgrounds this year, MCC will not be hosting our Annual Eid Carnival.
No RSVP is needed to attend the Eid prayers.
Each Eid prayer will start promptly. Each service begins with 15 minutes of recitation of the Eid Takbeerat. After takbeerat, each Eid service will be under 30 minutes. The Eid prayer will start promptly at the stated time above. Please arrive early and plan ahead for parking lines and security screening similar to ‘airport style’ checks. Please stay seated after the prayer; the Eid sermon follows the congregational prayer.
Please also play the Eid Takbeers in your car on the way to the prayer.
Eid Al Fitr Mubarak to you all! Thank you for being the best part of MCC.
Wishing you all a blessed Eid celebration. May Allah accept all of our duas and ibadah, Ameen!
