MCC follows traditional moon-sighting that relies on the regional, verifiable naked-eye sighting of the new crescent moon for the start of all Hijri months. Please see this video to understand this practice.

No RSVP is needed. Each Eid prayer will start promptly. Each service is preceded by 15 minutes of recitation of the Eid Takbeerat.

Each Eid service will be less than 30 minutes long. The Eid prayer will start promptly at the state time above. Please arrive early. Please stay seated after the prayer; the Eid sermon follows the congregational prayer.

*The takbeerat begins 15 minutes before each Eid prayer begins promptly. The sermon follows the Eid prayer. Please remember that the Khutbah (sermon) follows each prayer, so please pay attention to it.

Please also play the Eid Takbeers in your car on the way to the prayer.

MCC follows traditional moon-sighting that relies on the regional, verifiable naked-eye sighting of the new crescent moon for the start of all Hijri months. Please see this video to understand this practice. MCC honors the variation at the beginning of each Islamic month based on the new moon being sighted on different days in different places and some communities doing moon calculations. All are valid. Please observe with your community.

Eid parking for the Eid prayer services is in the MCC, and in a limited number of spots in the adjacent HP lot (now Pleasanton Unified School District). The aerial map at https://mcceastbay.org/district

*MCC adheres to the traditional principle that Islamic lunar months begin and end based on confirmed, verified naked-eye sightings of the new crescent moon globally. See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohpzeUf9w9c

Please join us for the Eid Carnival at MCC on Saturday, April 5, 2025: https://mcceastbay.org/event/tri-valley-carnival

Please remember that the congregational salat is prayed first for Eid (in contrast to the weekly Jumu’ah prayer), and then worshipers listen to the Eid sermon. Please stay seated after the prayer.
