Isra & Me’raj: The Sacred Ascension | Dr. Ali Ataie (Talk Only)

This Saturday evening, join Dr. Ali Ataie for a faith-affirming evening to learn lessons from the Prophet’s blessed heavenly ascension 1,400 years ago: Al-Isra wal-Mi’raj, which is the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to Jerusalem and journeyed to Heaven when he was gifted the five daily prayers for the Muslim community).

We mark the Night Journey on the 27th of Rajab, which is this Tuesday, Jan. 28.

We highly recommend our community fasts this Tuesday (preferably the day before or after) and join us at Maghrib on Tuesday for a community Iftar.

The Bay Area Muslim community annually commemorates a momentous occasion in the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ life: the miraculous Night Journey to Jerusalem and Ascension to Heaven (al-Isra wal-Mi’raj). Muslims choose to fast on the day of Isra and Mi’raj (Saturday, January 25, 2025) to commemorate this blessed day and earn extra rewards.
