Within his PhD program in higher education at George Mason University, Omar is concluding his dissertation research focusing on Afghan-American college students and the intersection between race, ethnicity, and immigration. Simultaneously, Omar begins his post as AACO’s Executive Director to build a stronger, more engaged, and more cohesive Afghan-American community.
