About this trail:

This trail begins at Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center and climbs Donner Canyon Road and descends Back Canyon Trail to create a somewhat challenging loop. There are lovely views of the surrounding hillsides and oak trees along the way. In the spring, the trail can be quite muddy, with a few creek crossings. There are also wildflowers and waterfalls along the route. During the summer months, this trail can get hot, as there is little shade. Bring lots of water and sun protection and start early in the day.

There is an alternative starting point on Regency Drive. Although, keep in mind the parking at the trailhead is for residents only and you may get a ticket.
