About this trail:
Take a stroll around the tall rolling grassy hills east of San Francisco in the Las Trampas Regional Wilderness. You climb almost 1000 feet in the first mile, but then it’s an easy scramble along the ridge with stunning views in every direction.
Wildflower lovers will love the springtime scenery of Las Trampas Regional Wilderness, but when the blooms have faded, this East Bay park still has plenty to marvel at. Eagle-eyed hikers in autumn and winter will spot birds of prey among the gliding turkey vultures, and there’s also the chance of a golden eagle sighting.
