Muslim Youth Medicine Exploration Week | Dr. Ayesha Dhar

June 10 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

This event is a one-week summer camp designed to introduce students to a wide range of careers within the healthcare field. The goal is to provide students with a clear and realistic understanding of the different pathways from high school to professional careers in areas such as allopathic vs. osteopathic medicine (MD/DO), nursing, physician assistant (PA), physical and occupational therapy (PT/OT), mental health therapists, dentistry, and veterinary medicine. Throughout the week, students will learn about the educational journeys required for each field, including college preparation, graduate programs, and admissions processes, while also gaining insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of various healthcare professionals.

Throughout the week, students will dive into engaging, hands-on activities like suturing, CPR training, and interactive role-play. They’ll explore the educational pathways for different healthcare careers, covering college prep, graduate programs, and admissions, while gaining a real-world glimpse into the daily lives of healthcare professionals.

Kids will receive medical tool-kit and certificate at the end of program.

Capped at 30 students.
