The historic Battle of Badr took place on the 17th of Ramadan.
As we commemorate the Battle of Badr (17th of Ramadan), we reignite our trust, love, and connection to Allah, who made the seemingly impossible possible by granting Muslims victory and aiding them with Divine assistance. As Muslims in our Ummah struggle in different aspects of our lives, it is Allah ï·» again who can assist us in times of need and make what we feel to be insurmountable a true victory for this life and the Next.
Join us or tune in to reignite our Badr inspiration in our lives! This was when only 313 Muslims heroically fought on the battlefield at Badr against seemingly insurmountable odds; this night in 2024 is especially relevant given the struggles of our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
On the 17th of Ramadan, our Beloved Prophet ï·º courageously led 313 Muslims into their first major battle against their adversaries.
The Qurayshi Meccans, with their 1,000-strong army, stood as formidable opponents against the believers. As the two sides clashed on the battlefield, the Quraysh were taken by surprise and retreated in fear.
Angels descended upon the battlefield, turning the tide in favor of the Muslims. This victory marked their success in the first battle fought against the disbelievers.
The Muslim community faced further challenges, with some resulting in less favorable outcomes. However, the fledgling ummah persevered despite these setbacks, paving the way for the continued dissemination of the Prophet’s message.
Thanks to the brave sacrifices of our predecessors 1400 years ago, we are honored to continue spreading the uplifting message of Islam.
