Ramadan Arts and Crafts Program 2025 | Khala Emira Mustafa

For ages 4 to 12, join Sister Emira Mustafa for fun-filled, creative Saturday afternoons during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Create lasting memories with your kids as we craft meaningful keepsakes using high-quality materials, insha’Allah.

Saturdays, March 1, March 8, & March 15 | 1:30 p.m. (After Dhur) to 3:30 p.m. | Ages 4 to 12 | Location TBD @ MCC | $35 per session or $100 for all three activities + a bonus activity | Register at mcceastbay.org/ramadan-kids

You can register for three in-person individual weeks & 1 take-home activity or sign up for the full program! Check out the exciting lineup below:

  • Week 1: Concrete Moon Nightlight
    Unleash your creativity with concrete! This unique craft combines the tactile fun of play dough with the durability of a lasting keepsake.
  • Week 2: Water Painting (Suminagashi)
    Discover the ancient Japanese art of “ink floating” to create mesmerizing water paintings. Frame your masterpiece and watch it brighten your home!
  • Week 3: 6-in-1 Wooden Cube Puzzle
    Assemble a customizable Ramadan-inspired multi-puzzle block designed to challenge and entertain kids of varying ages.
  • Acrylic Suncatchers (Take-Home Set)

Design vibrant acrylic suncatchers that transform sunlight into beautiful window patterns—a perfect way to celebrate the season!

For those unable to attend in person, we offer take-home craft kits for all four weeks. Pickup can be scheduled in advance.

Note: No refunds are allowed due to the prior purchase of materials specific to each program. However, you can transfer or gift your spot to someone else.

Important Notes:

  • These are parent-and-me activities—parents must stay and supervise their children throughout the event.
  • Only registered children will receive materials for the crafts.
  • Each session is capped at 60 children, so register early before we fill up! A second session may be added pending registration needs.
  • Refunds are unavailable, but you may transfer your spot or pick up the week’s materials by the end of the session.
  • Prices will increase after February 1st.

About the Facilitator:

Sister Emira Mustafa founded Craft E Muslims, a business that aims to creatively connect the heart and mind through fun, innovative methods.

She has published two workbooks available on Amazon titled “Islamic Themed Fall Festival Activity Kit” and “Practically Preparing for Ramadan.” Her Etsy page features many Islamic-themed crafting kits sure to inspire a love of learning within our community.
