Passing any local policy measure or decision, however important, can take a lot of work. With the right approach and tactics, though, anyone can make meaningful change.

One type of policy is a resolution – sometimes called a ‘proclamation’ – which shows that a decision-making body acknowledges an important event or communicates a position. Whether the body is a city, county, student body, student government, or union: passing a resolution is one way to rally community members and decision-makers together to
- show solidarity
- mobilize around awareness- and community-building
- demonstrate an intention to take collective action towards desired change
Join us in this workshop where you’ll learn the steps of getting a resolution passed with your school or local government/decision-makers! We will also invite participants to connect with others interested in collaborating on Muslim Appreciation Month and other local resolutions.
