Please note that this is a parent-and-me workshop. Parents are required to attend the workshop along with their child/children. The workshop is capped at 130 children.
This workshop will be live-streamed and not recorded. We highly recommend that you attend in person. Dinner sales begin at 6 p.m.
Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the guardian of his family, and he is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband’s home and his children and is responsible for them. The servant of a man is a guardian of the property of his master, and he is responsible for it. Undoubtedly, every one of you is a shepherd responsible for his flock.” It addresses the modern challenges of raising practicing Muslims, offering strategies to inspire and guide children toward a fulfilling Islamic life. The workshop includes practical advice and activities for families to recognize where we lack as parents in the 21st century. And how to foster a culture rooted in Islam for success in both Dunya and Akhirah.
Purpose: To empower parents with insights and tools to address the spiritual and practical aspects of Islamic parenting. To help parents foster an environment where Islamic values are taught and lived, promote a family culture where pursuing Jannah is a collective goal. This workshop stands out by combining Qur’anic teachings, Prophetic examples, and modern educational techniques to create a transformative experience for Muslim families, aiming to bridge the gap between Deen and Dunya in everyday life.
What makes it unique? MNB workshops are specially curated to offer valuable and practical advice to its participants. Rooted in the hadith, “All of you are shepherds and each of you is responsible for his flock” the workshop will help parents understand their role and responsibilities as shepherds to their children and be the guardians of their flock.
It stands out by addressing contemporary challenges Muslim families face in a modern, Dunya-centric society and offering practical advice and strategies for parents.
It helps lay a foundation for:
- become more mindful of Allah SWT
- owning our responsibility as shepherds to our children
- strive to become better parents, knowing we will be asked about our flock
- help one another stay on the Siratul Mustaqim
- grow together as a family in Islam.
- internalize the reality that our natural home is Jannah.
This workshop is intended for both parents.
When raising children, the active participation of both parents is paramount. Attending parenting workshops fosters a united front, ensuring that both mother and father are aligned in their approach to their children’s upbringing. It promotes consistent parenting practices, strengthens the family bond, and underscores the significance of collaboration and mutual support to children. Just like mothers, fathers play a crucial role in their children’s spiritual and moral development. By attending the workshop together, parents can provide each other with better support and create a nurturing, balanced environment for their children.
