Afghan Family Winter Camp

Tuesday – Friday, Dec. 26 – 29 | 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Dec. 26-28) & 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Dec. 29th) | Conference Room, Banquet Hall, Kindergarten & Pre-K Classrooms | Register at mcceastbay.org/winter-retreat

For recently arrived Afghan refugees and children, the program includes:

  • Mommy and Me for children ages six and under.
  • Women’s Health and Wellness.
  • Lego Robotics and Sports Camp for grades 1-5.
  • Digital Art and Design or Coding and Sports Clinics for Middle and High Schoolers.

Lunch and snacks will be provided on all days to those registered.

Dinner on the 29th will be accompanied by a closing ceremony as well as an awards presentation. *Attendance is mandatory for all days of camp to receive awards at the closing ceremony.*

*Transportation can be arranged for families to get to and from MCC East Bay for all days*

CAIR and Maristan will provide wellness clinics and “Know Your Rights” workshops.

CAIR-SFBA, Maristan, MCC East Bay, and San Ramon Valley Islamic Center are sponsoring an Afghan Family Winter Camp designed for Afghan families who arrived in the US on/after August 2021.

Program

  • Learn-by-play program for children aged 3-7
  • Lego robotics and sports camp for grades 1-5
  • Digital art and design or coding and sports clinics for middle school and high school youth
  • Women’s Health and Wellness clinic
  • Know Your Rights workshop
