During the Eid al-Adha holiday, MCC East Bay accepts Qurbani meat cut in stew size and placed in clear plastic bags. MCC will distribute amongst the 250+ Zakat-eligible families that our Food Pantry serves.
Please drop it off anytime until Friday, July 7. No staff person needs to be on-site to accept the meat. The community center doors are open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. During those hours, please come directly to the MCC kitchen and leave the bagged meat in the MCC kitchen freezer (white refrigerator/freezer) near the sink). Meat prices have increased this year due to inflation. Local deserving families in the East Bay will significantly appreciate your Qurbani meat.
