The MCC/SRVIC Refugee Team is urgently in need of volunteer drives who are able to give rides to the refugees for the upcoming bazaar, on Sunday, January 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Roundtrip rides are needed for refugee families coming from around the Bay Area to Pleasanton.
Most of the invited refugees are Afghans, but we may also have Arabic and Spanish speakers who hope to come as well. We will be giving away clothing, household supplies, new children’s shoes, and blankets as long as supplies last.
Due to the lack of drivers, we are considering canceling the bazaar. Please let us know if you’re able to offer a ride, what city/cities you could give rides from, if you speak any languages in addition to English, and how many people you could take.
