Eid ul-Adha Prayer Services

May 27 @ 6:30 am - 11:00 am

Eid ul-Adha ’26 will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 (highly likely) or Thursday, May 28, 2026 (very unlikely), pending the sighting of the moon. Alhamdulillah!

Here are MCC’s arrangements for Eid morning (same location/timings for regardless of which day it falls on):

Logistics

  • Each Eid service will last about 30 minutes. The Eid prayer will begin promptly.
  • Please arrive early to accommodate parking. Bring your prayer mat and water bottle to the Fallon Sports Park. Limited chairs provided.
  • For details about Qurbani, see here: https://mcceastbay.org/qurbani
  • Please also remember that on Eid, the congregational salat is prayed first, and then worshipers listen to the Eid sermon. Please stay seated during the sermon.
  • Please pull up this image on your phone to follow along with the Takbeers (that will begin 15 minutes before the Eid prayer). No Takbeer sheets will be provided this year.
  • **Please bring your prayer mat and an umbrella to the outdoor services. Parking congestion is expected, especially at the 9:15 a.m. second prayer service; please arrive early. Each Eid prayer will start promptly.

Each Eid service will be less than 30 minutes long. The Eid prayer will start promptly. Please arrive early.

*MCC adheres to the traditional principle that Islamic lunar months begin and end based on confirmed, verified naked-eye sightings of the new crescent moon globally. See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohpzeUf9w9c

Please remember that for Eid prayer, the congregational salat is prayed for first, and then worshipers listen to the Eid sermon. Please stay seated after the prayer.
