Eid ul-Fitr ’24 will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10, pending moonsighting.
Please pay your household’s Zakat ul-Fitr ($12/person) before the Eid prayers.
Here are MCC’s arrangements for Eid morning on Wednesday morning:
- – FIRST PRAYER
– Location: MCC East Bay Prayer Hall, 5724 W Las Positas Blvd., Pleasanton, CA 94588
– Takbeer begins at 7 a.m.
– 7:15 a.m.: Eid prayer begins promptly, followed by an Eid sermon
– Khateeb: Sidi Quran Hodge
- – SECOND PRAYER
– Location: Fallon Sports Park, 4605 Lockhart St, Dublin, CA 94568
– Takbeerat begins at 9 a.m.
– 9:15 a.m.: Eid prayer begins promptly, followed by an Eid sermon
– Khateeb: Shaykh Hisham Mahmoud
- – THIRD PRAYER
– Location: Fallon Sports Park, 4605 Lockhart St, Dublin, CA 94568
– Takbeerat begins at 10:30 a.m.
– 10:45 a.m.: Eid prayer begins promptly, followed by an Eid sermon
– Khateeb: Sidi Shahryar Abbasi
**Please bring your prayer mat and an umbrella (if necessary, to the outdoor service). Parking congestion is expected, especially at the second prayer service at Fallon Park; please come early. The Eid prayer will start promptly.
Each Eid service will be less than 30 minutes long. The Eid prayer will start promptly at 7:15 a.m., 9:15 a.m., and 10:45 a.m. Please arrive early. Please stay seated after the prayer; the Eid sermon follows the congregational prayer.

Please remember that the congregational salat is prayed first for Eid (in contrast to the weekly Jumu’ah prayer), and then worshipers listen to the Eid sermon. Please stay seated after the prayer.
