Back-to-School Backpack Drive

With our community’s generosity, Girl Scouts Troops 30875 and 32705 have reached their goal of brightening the Eid al-Fitr holiday for over 700 children of families in the Bay Area who have recently received Zakat or regular food rations from the MCC Pantry.

Please continue to support us for our next community service project and spread cheer this upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday by contributing to our school supply drive.  Our troops again plan to empower 175 schoolchildren from Bay Area families which have recently received Zakat from the MCC. Additionally, if enough donations are received, we hope to empower 530 more schoolchildren who have recently received Zakat or regular food rations from the MCC Pantry.  

Each school age child will receive a new backpack with school supplies and younger children will receive a toy!

There are four ways to donate to the Fourth-Annual MCC Girl Scouts Troop Backpack Drive:

1. Purchase backpacks (including supplies) and have them delivered to MCC:  https://mcceastbay.org/backpacks

3. Drop off new/unused backpacks and supplies to MCC every Saturday (through June 26th) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m
4. Drop off/mail gift cards or checks payable to “Girl Scouts” to:
