This is the third year the San Ramon City Council has done so. Keep an eye out for Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Livermore City Council virtual proclamations in the coming weeks.

Last year, then-Vice Mayor Karla Brown presented the Proclamation, which acknowledges the rich history and guiding virtues of American Muslims, and commends Muslim communities in California for the lasting positive impact they have made, and continue to make, toward the advancement of the state and the nation. The San Ramon City Council follows in the steps of other City Councils in the San Francisco Bay Area, like Pleasanton, Dublin, Fremont, Santa Clara, Union City, Oakland, San Jose, and Redwood City.

Our gratitude to San Ramon Vice Mayor Sabina Zafar for helping facilitate this Proclamation.

Our gratitude also to Sr. Sameena Usman from CAIR – San Francisco Bay Area. She has been facilitated these Bay Area-wide Proclamations.

Our gratitude also to Sr. Eman Tai for facilitating the Dublin Proclamation: https://youtu.be/5yLuSj2w-w0 & Pleasanton is at https://youtu.be/ZX_MdpThzek
